PAC-MKA32BC Mitsubishi Electric Branch Box

The Mitsubishi Electric PAC-MKA32BC is a genuine OEM 3-port branch box designed for use in multi-zone ductless mini split applications. It serves as the central distribution point between a single outdoor condenser and up to three indoor units, managing the flow of both refrigerant and electrical power throughout the system.

By consolidating connections at a single branch point, the PAC-MKA32BC significantly simplifies refrigerant piping layouts compared to running individual line sets from the outdoor unit to each indoor zone. This reduces installation time, lowers material costs, and allows for a cleaner, more organized system design in both residential and light commercial applications.

A key feature of the PAC-MKA32BC is its use of electronic Linear Expansion Valves (LEVs), which precisely regulate refrigerant flow to each connected indoor unit. This ensures each zone receives the correct refrigerant charge needed for accurate coil temperature control, resulting in consistent comfort, improved efficiency, and reliable system performance across all connected zones.

The PAC-MKA32BC is compatible with Mitsubishi Electric MXZ-C Series multi-zone outdoor condensers, specifically the MXZ-4C, MXZ-5C, and MXZ-8C models, covering system capacities of 36,000, 42,000, and 48,000 BTU. It replaces the earlier PAC-MKA31BC and PAC-MKA30BC models. For the MXZ-8C60 outdoor unit, a port adaptor (ADP5834) is required when connecting directly to the branch box.

This branch box must be installed by a licensed HVAC technician and is intended for use with R-410A refrigerant systems.
