Returns Policy

HVA Supply - Steel Enterprises

Please review our return, warranty, freight damage, and ordering policies carefully before placing your order. Many items require return authorization, and some products are not eligible for return once installed, opened, or ordered incorrectly.

Installed Equipment

Important Return Restriction

Steel Enterprises will not accept returns of installed parts, electronic parts, or unpacked equipment covers. If a customer orders the wrong part, Steel Enterprises will only issue a refund if the return is reviewed and authorized in advance.

Returns are evaluated case by case and must be authorized before any product is sent back. Items returned without approval may be refused.

Warranty Returns

Manufacturer Warranty Requests

You may request a manufacturer's warranty review through Steel Enterprises. Improper installation may void the manufacturer's warranty, and some products must be installed by a trained professional.

Purchasers are solely responsible for engaging trained professionals in the service and repair of these products. Steel Enterprises will honor warranties only within the manufacturer's stated terms and conditions.

Steel Enterprises is not an authorized distributor or representative for the manufacturers listed on this website, and this website is not approved or sanctioned by any manufacturer or trade name listed.

In no event shall Steel Enterprises be liable for damages beyond actual damages up to, but not exceeding, the amount paid for the product. Purchasers agree to hold Steel Enterprises harmless for injury, property damage, or any other losses associated with the use of items purchased from Steel Enterprises.

On some warranty claims, the manufacturer may allow only a full credit or replacement of the defective part rather than a refund.

Ordered the Wrong Part Number & General Returns

Please call us at 865-401-4129. You must submit an RMA request and receive authorization from Steel Enterprises before your return will be accepted.

All returns are subject to a restocking fee based on the manufacturer, vendor, and age of the order. Approved returns may carry fees ranging from 15% to 75%.

Stock Items
0%-15 Fee

 If we wrongly recommend a replacement or verify a part for your unit, the restocking fee is 0% and we will pay for return shipping.  General stocked items returned within 0-10 days are usually subject to a 3% restocking fee.  On occasion, some restocking fees may be 15% depending on the manufacturer's, or vendor's policies that we ship from.

10-60 Days
15% - 30%

General stocked items returned between 10-60 days may be subject to a 15% to 30% restocking fee.

Non-Stock Items & Special Factory Orders
Up to 50%

Non-stock items may have much higher restocking fees depending on the vendor. Burnham factory orders are subject to a 50% restocking fee.

Important: Shipping charges are not refundable to or from the shipping location. Purchasers are responsible for return freight back to the original shipping warehouse.

Returns sent back without authorization or outside the allowed time period may be refused.

General Return Conditions

Steel Enterprises will generally consider approved returns, but the following conditions apply:

1.  For general stock items, approved returns received within 0-30 days are typically subject to a 3% restocking fee. Returns received between 31-60 days may be subject to a 15% to 30% restocking fee.

2.  The product must be returned in its original shipping container.

3.  Shipping and handling charges are not refundable.

4.  The purchaser must pay all shipping and handling charges to return the product to the originating warehouse.

5.  The purchaser must receive an authorization approval code and RMA number from Steel Enterprises before any return will be accepted.

6.  Returns must be made within 60 days from the date of original receipt. No exchanges or returns are allowed after 60 days.

7.  No returns on installed parts. If an item is returned and inspection shows it was damaged, broken, or installed, the refund will be denied.

8.  No returns on electronic parts, except under an approved warranty return.

9.  No returns on unpacked, PVC, cloth, or flexible equipment covers.

Return Authorization Required

No return will be accepted without prior approval and an assigned RMA number from Steel Enterprises.

Shipping & Freight Damage / Returns

All products are checked, inspected, and packaged by our supplier warehouses or manufacturers prior to release to the carrier. Once the shipment is delivered to the carrier, it technically becomes the purchaser's property.

All freight equipment items are requested to be securely strapped to a wooden pallet before shipment to help reduce the likelihood of transit damage.

1.  Before signing the delivery receipt, make sure you received all items listed on the bill. If anything is missing, note it on the receipt and have the driver sign your copy.

2.  Note any external damage to cartons on the delivery receipt and have the driver sign the copy.

3.  Unpack each carton in the driver's presence and inspect each item carefully. Note any damage on the delivery sheet, have the driver sign your copy, and file a claim with the carrier immediately.

4.  If concealed damage is found after the driver leaves, you have 48 hours to contact the carrier immediately and notify Steel Enterprises for an inspection. Keep all contents and packaging in the same condition as when the damage was discovered, and take photographs to support your claim.

5.  If the equipment appears damaged beyond repair, refuse the shipment. Write the reason for refusal on the shipping documents and obtain a copy from the driver with your remarks.

Protect Your Claim Rights

Freight damage must be documented at delivery whenever possible. Signing for damaged freight without notation can affect your ability to recover from the carrier.

Pricing & Ordering Policy

Steel Enterprises reserves the right to cancel orders for products that are no longer available or have been discontinued.

If an item is listed online with incorrect pricing, Steel Enterprises will contact the customer with the corrected price. Steel Enterprises will not honor orders placed at an incorrect error price.
