The Trane VAL8781 is a factory OEM 2-way normally closed (N/C) solenoid valve built for reliable refrigerant flow control in commercial and light industrial HVAC applications. Featuring a 1-1/8" sweat (solder) connection and a 120V coil, this valve remains closed when de-energized and opens upon receiving power — making it ideal for liquid line, hot gas bypass, and other refrigeration control applications where fail-safe closure is required.
